As an alternate member, you will be able to experience the Friday Night Lights experience with the full band! At any point in time, your spot could adjust to a competitive spot within the ensemble. Thus the schedule includes summer band camp days as well as minicamp experiences. As members of the band, car washes and fundraisers are also strongly encouraged! Alternate members will not travel with the marching band to competitions and thus the cost of participation is lower to reflect that. If a member is asked to a full spot within the ensemble, their fees will adjust to the full amount as well as change schedules to the competition roster schedule. Finally, away games are NOT guaranteed for any members of the band – signups will take place the week of the event for all students in good standing based on seniority.
