Our Ensembles

Marching Band

The Boiling Springs Marching Bulldog Band is the most visible and active ensemble in the band program. The marching band season starts in mid-July and ends in November. Membership is open to any 9th-12th grader interested in marching, including those interested in trying-out for

color guard.  Select 8th graders also participate based on audition performance and directors approval.  All members of the Marching Bulldogs are expected to participate in all football games, competitions, and parades.

  • Football Games
The band performs in the stands and at half time at home games.  The band also takes trips to many of the away games.

  • Competitions
We compete against bands from all over the state in local competitions and the state championships.  There are usually 4-5 competitions that occur on Saturdays during the fall.

  • Community Events
We also get invited to perform at community events such as the Spartanburg and Boiling Springs Christmas parades.

The Boiling Springs High School Marching Bulldog Band is extremely talented and highly competitive. We travel all over the Southeast, and to national competitions, to compete at the highest levels.

The winter ensemble season runs from the first of January through the first week of April. All three indoor ensembles compete on the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association (CWEA) circuit.

  • Winter Guard – An intermediate-level competitive program that combines music, dance, choreography and guard (use of flags, sabers, mock rifles, and other equipment) for a beautiful expression of music.
